How To Dress Feminine And Elegant With A Twist

In letzter Zeit habe ich mich viel mit der Frage nach meinem Signature-Stil beschäftigt. Ich habe das Gefühl, meinen eigenen Stil noch nicht zu 100 Prozent gefunden zu haben. Zwar weiß ich, was mir gefällt, meist auch recht gut, was mir steht, aber oft kaufe ich Sachen, die ich nur wenige Male trage. Mein Ziel ist, einen Kleiderschrank mit allen wichtigen Basics und Kernstücken zu schaffen, die sich in Farben und Stilen ergänzen und flächendeckend kombinieren lassen – also eine Capsule Wardrobe zu kreieren.

Hier habe ich bereits einen Post über die Suche nach meinem persönlichen Stil geschrieben. Mein Ansatz hat sich seitdem nicht groß verändert: feminin, elegant, schick, ein bisschen verspielt, gleichzeitig mit einer gewissen Finesse und offen für Trends, sofern sie dazu passen. Viele von euch interessieren sich bestimmt auch dafür, wie eine Reise zum eigenen Stil aussehen kann, deshalb möchte ich euch mitnehmen. Für euch und auch für mich selbst als Gedankenstütze habe ich drei Tipps für einen elegant-femininen Stil festgehalten.

Farbpalette. Auch wenn Knallfarben diesen Sommer die Mode beherrschen, eine Capsule Wardrobe lebt von neutralen Tönen, die sich gut untereinander und wiederum mit Trendpieces kombinieren lassen. Schwarz und weiß, grau, rosa, beige bzw. nude sind gute Startpunkte und für mich die wichtigsten Farben für meinen Kleiderschrank.

Kernstücke. Welche Teile spiegeln den von euch angestrebten Stil perfekt wider und sollten daher unbedingt im Schrank hängen? Für mich mit der Prämisse “elegant und weiblich” sind zum Beispiel folgende unverzichtbar: eine fließende rosa Bluse, ein weißes Spitzenoberteil, eine gut sitzende schwarze Jeans, helle Sneaker, ein grauer Kuschelpulli, ein kleines Schwarzes, ein beiger Bleistiftrock, ein Midirock wie dieser hier… Bevor diese Auflistung endlos wird, hilft am besten die Frage von oben als Faustregel beim Shoppen!

Klassisch und elegant vs. detailverliebt und trendig. Habt ihr eure Kernstücke beisammen, kommt der Teil, der Spaß macht. So schön ein eleganter Stil in gedeckten Farben ist, Mode lebt von Abwechslung, und nur weil ihr eine Capsule Wardrobe zuhause habt, bedeutet das nicht, dass sie keine Trendteile enthält (außer natürlich das ist euer Ziel). Während die Basics – wie der Name schon sagt – das Grundgerüst eines Outfits darstellen, könnt ihr mit ausgefalleneren, trendigen Kleidungsstücken oder Accessoires den Look aufwerten und müsst nicht jede Saison den Inhalte eures kompletten Kleiderschranks austauschen. Ich habe mich hier für eine Tasche mit Fransendetails, eine sechseckige Sonnenbrille und die Valentino-ähnlichen Nietensandaletten entschieden, um die auf den ersten Blick etwas langweilige Kombi aus Rock und Top interessant zu machen.

Lately I’ve been thinking about my signature style a lot as I feel I haven’t found it entirely yet. Although I know what I like and most of the times what will suit me, I still buy stuff that I won’t really wear. So I’m aiming to create a wardrobe filled with all important basics and key pieces whose style and colors will match and be easy to combine – basically, I want to establish my own capsule wardrobe.

Here I’d written a post on my search for my very own style. My approach hasn’t changed much since then: elegant, feminine, chic, a little playful, with a touch of sophistication and open for including trends provided that they fit somehow. I’m positive that many of you are interested how this journey to the destination “Signature Style” may look, so I’ll take you along. For you and for me to remember when going shopping I wrote down three tips for an elegant and feminine style.

Color palette. Although bold colors dominate this summer’s fashion, a capsule wardrobe is meant to consist of neutral shades that make it easy to combine them among each other and again, with some trend pieces. Black and white, grey, pink, beige and nude are the colors to start with and for me, the most important shades in my wardrobe to start building my outifts.

Key pieces. Which garments will reflect your vision for your style perfectly? Those are the ones you want to have hanging in your closet. For me, pursuing the motto of “elegant and feminine”, the following pieces are my essentials, among others: a flowy pink blouse, a white lace top, well-fitting black jeans, pastel-colored sneakers, a grey chunky knit, the LBD, a nude pencil skirt, a midi skirt like this one…. I could continue listing things, but I think the most important question to keep in mind while shopping is the one above.

Classic and elegant vs. trendy and attention to detail. Once you have collected your key pieces, this is where the fun begins. Sure, a capsule wardrobe with plenty of elegant basics in neutral colors is nice and all, but fashion is all about variety and it’s the trend garments that’ll spice up your essentials. Wearing an item that is very much on trend or just a more eye-catching accessory will instantly upgrade your look and you won’t have to completely exchange your wardrobe every season when you combine them with classics that’ll never go out of style. I opted for a little cross-body bag with a frill detail, hexagonal sunglasses and my Valetino-dupe studded sandals in this look to enhance this kind of boring top and skirt combo.
