Outfit: Mom Jeans

Mom Jeans sind irgendwie ein schwieriges Thema. Kürzlich habe ich sie in einer Liste mit “Kleidungsstücken, die nur ultradünne Bloggermädels tragen können” gesehen. Dazu erst mal: Warum? Wer sind „ultradünne Bloggermädels“? Und warum kann ich nicht tragen, was ich will? Das zu diskutieren, würde zu weit führen (obwohl ich gern über meine Meinung dazu schreibe, wenn es euch interessiert!), deshalb dazu nur so viel: Ich ziehe an, was ich will, und was mir gefällt. Punkt.

Allerdings soll das ja auch gut aussehen und – ich liebe diesen Ausdruck von Schrankalarm – zum Bodytype passen. Irgendwie lasse ich mich dann wohl doch beeinflussen und hatte etwas Bedenken, dass die Jeans mich zu breit machen. Als ich irgendwo auf Insta gelesen habe, dass Mom Jeans super bequem seien, habe ich mir überlegt, sie doch mal anzuprobieren. Dann stand ich in der Umkleidekabine und es machte Klick: Sie sind wirklich bequem, sehen super lässig aus und sind vielseitig bis zum Gehtnichtmehr. Warum hatte ich sie nicht schon früher angezogen?

Somehow, mom jeans seem to be a difficult topic. Some time ago, I saw them listed online as “clothes only ultra thin bloggers are able to wear”. Firstly: Why? Who are those “ultra thin bloggers”? And why mustn’t I wear what I like to wear? All of this is too big of a topic to discuss it here (nevertheless, if you’re interested I’m more than happy to share my opinion!), so I keep it short and simple: I wear, what I want, and what I like. Period.

Nevertheless, I want to look good, and I want my clothes to match and underline my body type. So somehow I get influenced regardless, and have been thinking that mom jeans would make me look broader. When I read on Instagram that mom jeans were super comfy, I decided to give them a try. Standing in the dressing room, I seriously wondered why I hadn’t tried them earlier: They really are comfy, look casual af and are very versatile.

De alguna manera, los vaqueros mom me parecen un tema difícil. Hace poco, los vi en una lista de “prendas sólo las blogueras más delgadas deben llevar”. Pues, ¿por qué? ¿Quién son estas “blogueras más delgadas”? ¿Y por qué no puedo llevar lo que me guste a mí y que yo quiera? Sería un tema demasiado grande para discutir ahora (pero, si os interesa, ¡me gustaría mucho escribir sobre esto!), por eso sólo hay que decir: Yo llevo que me guste a mí. Punto.

Sin embargo, debería estar guapo lo que llevo, y debería ir bien con mi tipo de cuerpo. Pues de alguna manera, sí me influye lo que leí y estaba pensando que los vaqueros mom hicieron que parezca más ancha. Recientemente leí en Instagram que sean muy cómodos, por eso me probé unos y me pregunté porqué no los había probado más temprano. De verdad son muy cómodos, parecen súper informal y los puedes llevar con todo.
